  • Herts FA Charter Standard Community Club of The Year
As a club we encourage all parents to support good play, and sportsmanship, irrespective of which team is playing and we praise effort and performance more than results. As an FA Charter Community Club, we operate to the highest standards set by the FA for youth football clubs. We take the Standard very seriously, and all players, managers, coaches and spectators are expected to adhere to our codes of conduct. We are based at the Berkhamsted Sports and Social Club, Kitcheners Field, Castle Hill, Berkhamsted. BerkoAstro Phase 2 Gets Underway
Thanks to fundraising efforts, local donations and grants from the Football Foundation, theDacorum Olympic Fund andSport England, work has now commenced on BerkoAstro Phase 2. The project, which will see the derelict shed next to the 3G pitch converted to a club room, toilets, small changing room, and a refreshment facility, is due to be completed in April.

Brick
Since opening in November 2010, the floodlit 3G pitch at BerkoAstro at Ashlyns School has been a resounding success. It is in regular use by Berkhamsted Raiders, local clubs and schools, the local community, a 6 a side soccer league, a Centre of Excellence for Disability Football, and Watford FC Player Development Centres for Dacorum and Bucks. Over 1,500 children and adults use the facility every week during the season. But what is missing? Toilets.... hot and cold running water... cover for children and parents from the elements.... tea and coffee would be nice....an indoor space for classroom training, a small changing area … If we had these facilities to go with the pitch, we could offer so much more and enhance the experience of the people who already use the facility.

Monday night 6 a side league at BerkoAstro
There's also an adult 6 a side league running on a Monday night. Contact Champion Soccer to sign up.

A packed crowd at the Hertfordshire County Ground were treated to a real end to end thriller as Hemel Athletic Blue took on Berkhamsted Raiders Red in the Under 10 County Cup final. Berkhamsted got off to a great start when Harry Gilks went on a solo run and blasted the ball into the back of the net in the first minute. Both teams fought hard but Raiders held their lead until the mid way through the second half when two goals in quick succession saw Hemel take the lead. Raiders swiftly piled on the pressure and Tom Fisher scored to bring the scores level. Great defending from both s

Under 12 Red Tournament Win
May 14, 2012, 12:41 pm

The boys U12 Red team played in the inaugural 11-a-side tournament held at Bushey & Oxhey FC on Bank Holiday Monday. The format was a round robin competition between the 4 invited teams of 25 minutes on a full size county standard pitch. The boys started with a game against the hosts and played some excellent passing football which resulted in a 2-0 victory with 2 goals from Matt. Next up was a match against Muswell Hill and although the smooth passing of the first game was not as obvious, some solid defending and strong work ethic from the midfielders delivered another 2-0 victory w
