Tournament 2010



The Berkhamsted Raiders 2010 tournament will take place on Sunday 13th June.

Berkhamsted Raiders CFC invites you to enter teams in our annual 6-a-side football competition on Sunday 13th June 2010.  Each year we typically have approx 140 teams compete  in this event, with entertaining football for around 1500 spectators.

The age groups for the competition this season will be from U7 to U14 (for boys) and U10, U11, U14 (for girls) based on ages for the 2009/10 season.  Age groups will be assigned (in May) to either morning or afternoon sessions depending upon the number of teams in each section. U7 and U8 will be a Fair Play Festival in groups, with a medal for every player.  All other age groups will have a Winning Team Trophy and individual medals for winners & runners up.

In addition to the 6-a-side football tournament, there will be various sideshows, stalls and refreshments, including a licensed bar and barbecue which will provide a real family day of entertainment with, we hope, excellent weather.  There will be a professional photographer taking both action and team photos that will be available for purchase on the day.

Once again, we are looking to collect redundant Football Kit and Boots for KITAID.  Last year’s tournament proved a great success for KITAID (www.3valleys.co.uk/kitaid) with a large amount of Football Kit being shipped to Africa to enable less privileged children to also enjoy football, so please start saving your kit and bring it along on the day.

The cost to enter is £30 per team until 31st March – the late entry fee from 1st April will be £35, subject to space being available.   If the tournament is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, refunds will be made, less a handling fee of £10 per team.
 
You are advised to book early, because in previous years most age groups have filled up quickly. There is a restriction on the number of teams in each age group, after which no further entries will be possible.  Each club entry is restricted to a maximum of 2 teams per age group.

All entry forms to be sent to Steven Slater, Registration Secretary, with full payment.  Cheques should be made payable to Berkhamsted Raiders. Final confirmation, with full details and tournament rules will be sent to all accepted teams at the beginning of May.
